Privacy Policy

Article 1 (Information We Collect and Do Not Collect)

The App requires no account registration, and we do not collect contact details such as your name, address, telephone number, or email address (except when you contact us; see Article 4).

The Site also has no account registration or input forms and does not ask you to enter your name, address, telephone number, or email address in order to browse it.

In particular, we never collect your child's name, date of birth, or sleep records. These are stored only on your device (see Article 2).

The App and the Site collect only the following information.

• Statistical information about how the App is used (Article 3)
• Statistical information about browsing and interactions on the Site (Article 3)
• Records of the App terminating unexpectedly (Article 3)
• Information about the status of a paid subscription (Article 3)
• The contents of any email you send us (Article 4)

The App displays no advertising and performs no advertising-related tracking using the advertising identifier (IDFA). It does not access your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.

Article 2 (Data Stored on Your Device)

The following data is stored only on your device. It is never sent to our servers, and we cannot view it.

• Your child's name and date of birth
• Records of falling asleep and waking up
• App settings, such as your notification preferences
• The date your free trial started

If you have enabled your device's backup feature, this data may be included in that backup. Apple's privacy policy applies to how backups are handled.

Article 3 (Information Sent to Third Parties)

The App and the Site use the following four external services.

Google Analytics for Firebase (provided by Google LLC) — used to understand usage statistically in order to improve the App.

• What is sent: records of actions within the App, such as screens viewed, recording actions, the outcome of notification permission requests, and the display of paid-plan offers or the start of a purchase. Also your child's age band
• What is not sent: your child's name, their exact date of birth, or records of falling asleep and waking up
• What Google collects automatically: an app instance identifier, device type, OS version, and an approximate region estimated from your IP address

Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC) — used to understand use of the Site statistically and improve its information and navigation.

• What is sent: the URL and title of pages viewed, access date and time, referring source, and interactions on the Site such as scrolling and outbound-link clicks
• What is not sent: your child's name, date of birth, or sleep records; contact details such as your name or email address; or free-form input
• What Google collects and processes automatically: a random client identifier stored in a cookie; browser, device, OS, language, and screen information; and an approximate region derived from your IP address. The IP address is discarded after deriving location information and is not logged or stored in Google Analytics

Google Analytics on the Site uses first-party cookies (including _ga) to distinguish users and sessions. You can stop measurement by deleting or disabling cookies in your browser settings, or by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services

Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google LLC) — used to identify and fix the cause when the App terminates unexpectedly.

• What is sent: the point in the program the App was executing when it terminated, device type, OS version, and device state such as available memory and storage. Also a record of the actions taken within the App immediately beforehand
• What is not sent: your child's name, their date of birth, or records of falling asleep and waking up
• What Google collects automatically: an anonymous identifier assigned to each installation of the App

RevenueCat (provided by RevenueCat, Inc.) — used to manage the status of paid subscriptions.

• What is sent: purchase information issued by Apple, an anonymous user ID generated automatically by the App, device type, and OS version
• What is not sent: payment information such as your name, email address, or credit card number
• Payments are processed by Apple. Neither we nor RevenueCat ever handle your payment information

Article 4 (Information Collected When You Contact Us)

When you choose "Feedback" from the App's settings screen, your device's mail app opens. The App version, iOS version, and device model are filled into the message body in advance. This is used to narrow down problems, and you may delete it before sending.

If you send us an email, we receive the sender's email address and the message body. Your child's date of birth and sleep records are never included automatically.

Article 5 (Purposes of Use)

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes.

• Identifying and fixing problems
• Improving features and prioritizing development
• Understanding use of the Site and improving its information and navigation
• Providing paid plans and verifying subscription status
• Responding to your inquiries

Article 6 (Disclosure and Provision to Third Parties)

Except as required by law, we do not disclose or provide the information we collect to third parties. Transmission to the services described in Article 3 is an entrustment of handling within the purposes stated in that article, and does not constitute such disclosure.

We do not sell the information we collect, nor do we provide it to third parties for advertising purposes.

Article 7 (How to Delete Your Data)

• Your child's information, the records of falling asleep and waking up, and your App settings can all be deleted from "Delete data" on the App's settings screen. Deleted data cannot be restored
• Deleting the App from your device also deletes that data, and no further usage information is sent
• Records relating to paid plans (the date your free trial started, a local copy of your subscription status, and whether offers or review prompts have already been shown) are not deleted by either of the above
• The date your free trial started remains on your device even after you delete the App
• Cookies used by Google Analytics on the Site can be deleted in your browser settings. You can stop future measurement by disabling cookies or using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on

Article 8 (Children's Privacy)

The App is intended to be used by a parent or guardian to record a child's sleep. It is not intended to be used by children themselves.

The information the App handles about a child is their name, date of birth, and records of falling asleep and waking up. All of it remains on the device and is never sent externally. The only child-related information sent for usage analysis is the age band described in Article 3.

Article 9 (Changes to This Policy)

We may change this policy. The revised policy takes effect when it is posted on this page. If we make a material change to the types of information handled or the purposes of use, we will give advance notice in the App or on this site.
